Paul is the only one that mentions the salvation of the spirit .

We know that in Ecc 12:7 that at death shall return to God that gave it .

looks like two different people as there are several verses , is that salvation of the soul is found only in the Kingdom Writing , like Heb 10:39 , James 1:21 , 1 Peter 1:9 and .

your thoughts ?

Spirit and soul are overlapping concepts in the Scripture.

The "spirit" in 1 Cor 5:5 is the church.
Get the "fleshly" out so the Spiritual (the church) will be found perfect on the last day.
1 Cor 5:7 says the same thing in a different manner..."Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:"

And here is just one answer .

where do Jews go after , death ? paradise called hades in Luke 16:22-31 .

where does anyone from the body of Christ go after death , 2 cor 5:1-6 .

I see 2 different people here gentiles and Jews .

Nope. The spirit is not the church.

1 Cor. 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Man is definitely tripartite. Composed of body, soul, and spirit. So, I'd say one inside the other inside the other. Is that overlapping?
I think the Scripture is at least equivocal on the matter. I say overlap meaning that mainly 'spirit' and 'soul' denote the same thing, but maybe slightly distinct. Certainly I think that our physical body is one thing, and then our immaterial part or parts is another, and I think there are basically just these two parts; material and immaterial. I believe our immaterial part or parts is reborn at our conversion, and that our material part will be reborn at the final resurrection of all the dead.

I don't feel a parable counts as reality.
Especially since the "sentiment" is never written of before or after.
They will lay in a grave until the day of judgement.
The righteous will be raised at Jesus' return, and the unrighteous 1000 years later.

Same answer.
But as there is no unrighteousness in Christ's body, all of then will be raised at our Lord's return.

I agree, but there are sometimes similarities between differing peoples.

Well, Paul says body, soul, and spirit. I believe scripture shows that.

The soul is who we are as a person (mind, personality, etc), and the spirit is that innermost part where we commune with the Spirit of God.

Proverbs 20:27
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Right. I think the main reason I hesitate is because there are other passages where it seems to describe a two-part 'model' of humanity rather than a three, although I agree and admit that Paul seems to have a three-way division in mind. Perhaps Paul's spirit and soul together equals what other writers might just call either the soul or the spirit.

I like this one. The dividing asunder of soul and spirit. The soul is the person who lives in this body of "joints and marrow".

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The spirit lives inside the soul which is why the word of God does the dividing. I believe the Jewish temple is divided the same way. The innermost sanctuary (holy of holies) would be where the spirit dwells. I did a cool study on this at one time. Very interesting indeed.

That verse is about the separation of the fleshly from the spiritual.
It is about dividing the soul and spirit FROM the joints and marrow.
The word of God can do that.

Uhhh... I think my "2" button may have been off that week??? 🤭
You are correct, it should have read "Heb 4:12".
Good catch.
I appreciate folks who read the posted scriptures included in posts.

And since you say , that parables do not count as reality , explain Eph 4:9 and where are the lower parts of the earth ?

I don't consider Ephesians 4:9 to be a parable.
The lowest point on earth is the Dead Sea.
Only twenty miles or so from both the birth and death of Jesus.

Do you think that the kingdom of heaven is really a grain of mustard seed?

Consider the history of the valley of Gehenna, instead of the Dead Sea.

My mother's womb.
Psalm 139:15 (YLT)
My substance was not hid from Thee, When I was made in secret, Curiously wrought in the lower part of earth.
