Since a civil marriage is not viewed as legitimate by the Catholic Church, could a Catholic Priest hypothetically get a Civil Marriage (assuming no sexual relations) without it being considered a sin?
This is (obviously) purely hypothetical. I was wondering if it would be possible for Catholic Priests and Nuns to use Civil Marriage as a loophole to provide citizenship to others.
Because this would be a hilarious and awesome way to rebel against the Trump Administration, haha (albeit, establishing that such a marriage is Bona Fide would be a legal challenge practically speaking)
