Cain and Abel offering Wine and Milk

Abel is feeding a flock, and Cain hath been worker of the Adamah.
And it comes to pass in the last day that Cain (Qayin-u-Nathan) brought (wine or alcohol) from the fruit of the ground a present to YHWH;
and Abel, he has brought, he also, milk-fat (cf milk) from the firstlings of his flock;
and YHWH looks to Abel and to his present,
and unto Cain and to his present He has not looked

And YHWH says to Cain, `Where [is] Abel thy brother?'
and he says, `I know not Creeper-Iah-Ki
And He says, `What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the Adamah;
and now, cursed [are] you from the Adamah, which has opened her mouth (cf. Rev 12:16) to receive the blood of your brother from your hand;

And YHWH saith to him, `Therefore -- of the murderer Cain seven times it is required;' and YHWH setteth a guard over Cain that none finding him doth slay him

And Cain goeth out from before YHWH, and dwelleth in the land of wind [that existed] before Rheden;

And Adam again knoweth his wife, and she beareth a son, and calleth his name Seth...
And to Seth, to him also a son hath been born, and he calleth his name Enos;
Then began to call Abel "Creeper-Iah".

What a thing to do with a straightforward story about the first religious war when Cain offered the first fruits of Ba'al to YHWH and after being rebuked, slew Abel for his loyalty to YHWH. This was not a kid's spat gone wrong as your Sunday School teacher told you but adult religious hatred!

Cain was trying to supplant the religion of the coats of skins for righteousness instituted by GOD for Adam and Eve with his first fruits fertility sacrifices of the weather cult of the Ba'als and Asherah (groves).


Since Seth was born just after Abel's death when Adam was 103 years old Gen 5:3 it could be that Cain and Abel could have been in their 90s when they had their fight.
