On Senator Mitchell's proposed Living Together Benefits Act:
By senator Mitchell's bill, as advocated by Focus On The Family, the homosexual partners would get the health benefits...and the heterosexual couples would not get that benefit. And so the law is the great teacher. And so the law would teach yet another generation of young kids. It would be another layer endorsing the legitimacy of homosexuality. And that's what makes the law dangerous. And that's why we should not support the law but oppose the law. The ends do not justify the means. Defeating the current democratic domestic partner bill does not justify us further legitimizing shacking up and especially homosexuals shacking up.
