Here is an amazing picture of a piece of rubble preserved by a fireman from 9 /11

The New York Times reported bible text found in the wreckage of 9/11, but the verse it was turned to in the book of Matthew is chilling:
“Retaliation.”
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
So many chapters. So many verses. But these were the words — from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, in the Gospel of Matthew — found permanently exposed at Ground Zero after the Sept. 11 attacks. The pages of the Bible in which they were printed had fused to a chunk of steel as the World Trade Center collapsed, to be found only months later.
[…]
A firefighter found the fragment in March 2002, under the Tully Road, a temporary truck route that covered the last remnants of the south tower. He called out to the photographer, who happened to be nearby.
“This shredded, burned and rubble-covered Bible came to me from the loving hands of a fireman who knew that I was the record keeper of ground zero,” Mr. Meyerowitz said Thursday in an e-mail from Italy, where he now lives.
“My astonishment at seeing the page that the Bible was open to made me realize that the Bible’s message survives throughout time,” he said, “and in every era we interpret its teachings freshly, as the occasion demands.”

More accurately, it appears to be open to Matthew 5, the section on Adultery, Divorce, Oaths, and finally "An Eye for an Eye" discussion,
but also that page is torn assunder. ...

I really don't understand how anyone could see this as "amazing," or inspirational, or the like.

Ain't "worried," but I don't understand how anyone can look at this and feel like it's some kind of sign or miracle.

I tried to tell Bush and Cheney to not invade Iraq but they were determined to go there. I didn't try dissuading them from Afghanistan. My bad.

That makes no sense
Sure it does. I was politically active back then and sent each of them emails advising them to not invade Iraq. After 9/11, however I failed to advise them to avoid seeking retribution there (Afghanistan). In retrospect I believe we should have turned the other cheek entirely. All we have harvested from our military incursions are death and huge debts.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the Bible in the metal :)

I don't think they pay attention to the average citizen's emails

And then Eeset mysteriously went silent when her (supposed anti war) candidate took office.
