Trump is really good at finding morally weak people to suck into his control. Few people get close to Trump without serious damage. Barr is a prime example.

That article is a load of guano. From the article:

now if a U.S. attorney’s office suspects election fraud that involves postal workers or military employees, federal investigators will be allowed to take public investigative steps before the polls close, even if those actions risk affecting the outcome of the election.

So according to this idiot, if election fraud is suspected, the criminals should be allowed to carry on their merry way because stopping them from fraudulently affecting the outcome of the election would be "affecting the outcome of the election."

What?!?

The Justice Department has always prided itself on avoiding any interference in elections. Barr is attempting to further corrupt the department by ignoring that long-standing rule. It is likely to backfire on him.

There was a huge line at early voting, today. Living in suburban Dallas, I supposed that the voting would be mostly Trump. But the demographics are rapidly changing in suburban counties in Texas, partially from people moving in from other states, and partially from younger voters who tend to be more progressive. Probably not enough to sway things this cycle, but it's coming.

Trump's fear dominated his first debate with Biden

Analysis: The president's words and actions were those of a candidate who knows he's losing — and has no idea how to reverse the trend.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump may be the only person in America who is afraid of Joe Biden.

Before their
debate Tuesday night, he and his allies demanded that Biden submit to a drug test and let officials check the former vice president for an earpiece.

During the action, Trump absurdly accused Biden of wanting to abolish the suburbs, "the cows" and the cops;
declined to denounce white supremacists; and insisted that the election is going to be rigged against him.

And after Trump aggressively failed to demonstrate presidential temperament — blustering, bullying and lying his way through the debate — his campaign manager, Bill Stepien, praised him for being in "control of the conversation."

Trump's words and actions were those of a candidate who knows he is losing and has no idea how to fix the problem.

It's not too late for some kind of October Surprise, but Trump had better do something quick. It would be insane for him to order Barr to rig up an indictment of Biden, but given his desperation, he might try it. The question is whether or not Barr would agree to do it.

Otherwise, he's in considerable danger of going to jail. Even if he resigned and got Pence to pardon him, any upcoming state charges would still stand.
