Genuine - what if they genuinely are uncomfortable with what they were born as, and feel more at home acting as they do? Then surely they *are* being honest about the gender.

Obviously not something you'd consider.

Gender is a product of X and Y chromosones.
Gender is not a product of the types of clothes you wear, the type of plastic surgery you get, nor the type of drugs you injest.

The only way a person can be uncomfortable with what they are born as is by not being honest with themselves about who they are.
