The Vegas shooter was undoubtedly a gun enthusiast and in terms of pure effectiveness ,his kill tally is noteworthy and has received a five star rating in an up and down vote among members of the NRA and the GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA org.
The dead total of 58 is exceptional indeed but what goes unreported is his record kill of 58 in a record time of 12-13 minutes. This record is for the books and I doubt it will be broken ; at least not for a while.
So,let's give credit where credit is due.
Whereas the authorities are searching for a motive and based on info recently received from a friend who works for Mandalay bay casinos and has worked in the past at the huge MGM Grand, the
motive appears to be as a result of a pique during his high stakes play at video poker.
The vegas shooter apparently had a problem with smokers standing too close to him in the casino; and in this case, a Mexican American lady, rather obese and drinking heavily ,blew a lot of smoke at the shooter for which he immediately complained .
Despite the fact that he was a high roller the casino took the side of the fat Mexican lady and was told that due to her minority status they were not going to talk to her . And so this was the beginning of his resentment which helped to foment the massacre.
But this happened before the shooting. The shooter learned of two things: #1 ; there was to be a country western dance outdoors and the crowd would be huge ;and#2 ,he learned of a gun show at vegas at the Mandalay Bay and at the MGM .. This SHOW was promoted by GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA as well by the NRA .
This allowed the shooter to bring his arsenal onto the hotel without being challenged and due to the fact that the hotel management was totally aware of the hotel's involvement with the so called gun show had granted him permission to carry in large boxes filled with guns and ammo.
The animosity building up in the shooter reached its peak at the time of the country western shin dig. and everything else is for the record books.
