An armed Trump supporter was detained and released by police Wednesday outside a community space for immigrants in El Paso, Texas, days after a mass shooting that killed 22 people at a Walmart in the border town.

Witnesses said they called police after Thomas Bartram, 21, made threatening comments to people and brandished a knife while sitting in his truck outside the community center Casa Carmelita. His truck was emblazoned with pro-Trump banners and bumper stickers promoting InfoWars, a far-right conspiracy website and radio show.

Yeah. He was so dangerous the cops talked to him and released him right afterward. I'd bet nbc blew the situation way out of proportion, as usual. I'll bet there was a lot more than this guy just sitting there and for no reason going after someone. I'll bet it was a mutual dislike from both sides and both sides did a bunch of yapping. Then one side decides to really get the other guy by calling the cops on him when they were just as guilty as he was.

The FBI has underscored the ongoing threat of copycat shootings from domestic violent extremists in the wake of the El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH mass shootings that left at least 31 victims dead.

"The FBI remains concerned that U.S.-based domestic violent extremists could become inspired by these and previous high-profile attacks to engage in similar acts of violence," the bureau said in a statement late Sunday. "The FBI asks the American public to report to law enforcement any suspicious activity that is observed either in person or online," the statement said.

In the wake of the recent attacks, FBI Director Chris Wray has told senior FBI officials to put together a new threat assessment looking at mass shootings.

John Bash, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, said Sunday that federal authorities are investigating the El Paso incident as an act of "domestic terrorism," meaning the suspect was allegedly intent on "coercing and intimidating a civilian population."

Bash said federal authorities are also considering bringing hate crime and federal firearms charges against the accused shooter, Patrick Crusius, that carry the death penalty.

Authorities suspect a virulent anti-immigration screed posted online before the El Paso shooting was written by the alleged gunman, a top police official indicated Sunday.

Asked whether the attack was a hate crime, El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen told reporters during a news conference Sunday that authorities were still working to conclusively attribute what he called the “manifesto” to the attack, but said “it’s beginning to look more solidly like that is the case.”

The four-page document was reportedly posted to online message boards less than an hour before the suspect, 21-year-old Patrick Crusius, purportedly gunned down at least 20 people and injuring 26 others at an El Paso, Texas, Walmart on Saturday.

FBI director to Congress: Most domestic terror cases are driven by "white supremacist violence"
Despite Trump's denials, FBI Director Christopher Wray says right-wing racist terrorism is a major threat

FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress on Tuesday that the agency has seen an increase in the number of domestic terror arrests this fiscal year, a majority of which have been motivated by white supremacy.

Wray told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the FBI has recorded about 100 domestic terrorism arrests in the last nine months. “A majority of the domestic terrorism cases we've investigated are motivated by some version of what you might call white supremacist violence,” he told the panel.

Wray said the number of the domestic terrorism arrests has increased and is now close to the number of international terrorism arrests the bureau has made.

Wray’s testimony followed a House Homeland Security Committee hearing in May, where FBI counterterrorism chief Michael McGarrity testified that the bureau was investigating 850 potential domestic terrorism cases. McGarrity said that nearly half of the cases involved racially motivated extremists, most of whom were white supremacists.

A Reformed White Nationalist Says the Worst Is Yet to Come

Christian Picciolini discusses the mainstreaming of white nationalism, what it takes to de-radicalize far-right extremists, and why the problem is metastasizing.

It’s going to get worse.

That’s the warning of a former violent extremist, Christian Picciolini, who joined a neo-Nazi movement 30 years ago and now tries to get people out of them. White-supremacist terrorists—the ones who have left dozens dead in attacks in Pittsburgh, New Zealand, and El Paso, Texas, in recent months—aren’t just trying to outdo one another, he told us. They’re trying to outdo Timothy McVeigh, the anti-government terrorist who blew up an Oklahoma City federal building and killed more than 100 people in 1995—the worst terrorist attack in the United States before September 11, 2001.

A 23-year-old Las Vegas man who authorities say worked as a security guard has been arrested and accused of plotting to firebomb a synagogue or a bar catering to LGBTQ customers.

A U.S. magistrate judge on Friday ordered Conor Climo to remain in federal custody following his arraignment on a federal firearms charge that could get him 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Climo's court-appointed attorney didn't immediately respond to messages.

U.S. Attorney Nicholas Trutanich says Climo was arrested Thursday, after an FBI-led anti-terrorism investigation and the discovery at Climo's home of diagrams and items that could make bombs.

Court documents say Climo communicated by encrypted internet chat with people identified as white supremacists, and told an FBI informant recently that he was scouting places to attack.

"It's going to get worse." From someone who has been there and understand how those people think.

Trump now says he thinks we should do something about guns and who can have them. It's not guns that caused this rise in right-wing terrorism. Guns just make it easier. It's pandering to white nationalists that's brought them out of the sewers.

I'm still waiting for the leftist bozos to provide any actual evidence that Trump is racist or that he incites racists, NAZIs and White Supremacists.

Trump does it best...

A controversial video of President Donald Trump during a rally in Florida is resurfacing on social media after two mass shootings in the US over the weekend.

"Don't forget: We don't let them, and we can't let them, use weapons. We can't," Trump told the crowd. "Other countries do. We can't. I would never do that. But how do you stop these people? You can't."

"Shoot them!" the audience member shouted. Some in the crowd clapped and cheered, while others grimaced.

Trump can be seen smirking and shaking his head. Trump them joked, "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with this stuff." He reemphasized, "Only in the Panhandle," referring to the Florida Panhandle.

LOL. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Some guy responds with a joke out of the audience, Trump grins, and it's Oh, Trump is terrible. He encourages violence. That's about as stupid as stupid gets.

Police release more on right-wing terrorist

According to the criminal complaint, Climo was communicating with individuals who identified with a white supremacist extremist organization using the National Socialist Movement to promote their ideology.

Members believe in the superiority of the white race and have a common goal of challenging the established laws, social order, and government via terrorism and other violent acts. The organization encourages attacks on the federal government, including critical infrastructure, minorities, and members of the LGBTQ community.

The complaint alleges that during encrypted online conversations throughout 2019, Climo would regularly use derogatory racial, anti-Semitic, and homosexual slurs.

He discussed attacking a Las Vegas synagogue and making Molotov Cocktails and improvised explosive devices, and he also discussed conducting surveillance on a bar he believed catered to the LGBTQ community located on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas.

The criminal complaint also describes that items seized by law enforcement during the execution of an August 8, 2019 search warrant, including a notebook with several hand-drawn schematics for a potential Las Vegas-area attack.

The notebook also contained drawings of timed explosive devises.

Furthermore, Climo claimed to have tried to recruit a homeless individual for pre-attack surveillance against at least one Las Vegas synagogue and other targets. His recruitment attempts proved fruitless.

Daniel Waters, 22, is charged with one felony count of unlawful possession of explosive materials, according to the DuPage County sheriff's office.

Lombard police executed a search warrant on Waters' home earlier this week after receiving information that he may be in possession of guns and explosive materials, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities also found a written tirade allegedly written by Waters that describes starting a militia and their operations.

His bond was set at $100,000 on Saturday and he is being held at the DuPage County Jail on unrelated domestic battery charges.
