The Death Penalty should be applied equally to all ages

Many serial killers suffered severe long term abuse. A very large percentage of them are homosexuals (for the same reason). Years ago I had a thread about that exact subject. I don't know whether it still exists or not.

Both are really good, but I was thinking of specifically highlighting their shared ministry of death... There is a direct functional parallel in Scripture between the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Law of Moses. They share the same ministry... Genesis 2:16–17 “And the LORD God...

    Mid-Acts Presentations

You should make one that explicitly parallels the ministry of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil with the ministry of Law, including the Ten Commandments, and that contrasts that ministry of death with ministry of the Spirit. II Corinthians 3

The Death Penalty should be applied equally to all ages

There would never be any such thing as a five year old murderer in a society that executed murderers. Indeed, I can't find any case where it is clear that any five year old has ever murdered anyone at all, even in this near totally unjust society, much less in one that enforces the death...

You can list all of the individual translation problems you care to and it still doesn't overcome the fact the no one speaks the language that the KJV was written in any longer. If you want a perfect translation, forget it. It cannot happen - period. Just go get the Greek or Hebrew text and good...

Certainly. Its "handlable" but the cost/benefit ratio is way out of whack. You can simply read the NKJV and save yourself the internal effort of translating the KJV into modern English as you read it.

So far as the meanings behind the words used, there's not a dime's worth of difference between the KJV vs the NKJV. There isn't any such thing as a perfect translation so they all have their issues but the NKJV manages to avoid all of the really serious problems in the other modern English...

From "Proving the Existence of God"... "Solving the Regress Problem Regress means every event is dependent on a prior event that caused it. Anything that can change or move in any way is subject to this principle. Regress does not affect choices that are “free” and not the result of a series of...

The New King James is the best in my opinion for several reasons but nearly any modern English translation is better than the Old King James. I will certainly read them. There's a good chance I already have. I've been on your website many times in the past. PM me your email address.

Well, that's true, but I don't think Idolater was thinking in those terms. Most Catholics do not seem to understand Paul's gospel of grace, which is the only one that will save you.

I never developed the skill of debating verbally. What I can do in writing, I'm not very good at on the fly and in person. I envy your skill in that area. "Hitler didn't kill anybody; he just recycled a lot of people into their new bodies." Total brilliance! By the way, I'm trying to write a...

First of all, I can barely follow the King James version of the bible. I can't understand why anyone uses it at all anymore. There are several better options. Ephesians 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in...

If I didn't agree with the sentiment that you've expressed here, you'd not aggravate me half as much. I was heart broken over the Flat Earth stuff. Not just because it all just so completely mindless but because one of my favorite people was getting sucked in by it. I was watching you destroy...

If you continue to be this responsive then I'm happy to continue the discussion. Go into jerk mode or unresponsive mode again and you're on your own. Why is that the doctrine you desire to cling too? How is it possible that that single issue is sufficient to falsify (in your mind) an entire...

They aren't false accusations and you cherry picking particular posts doesn't remove the reality that you know full well that I remember extremely clearly. It has nothing to do with arrogance or me playing God. It's simple common sense and first person experience and plain memory of the events...

Righteousness Apart from the Law: Why We Do Not Teach That Believers Can Sin with Impunity

People throw this charge at us all the time, and it is pretty predictable. If we are not under the law anymore, if every sin is already forgiven, if our righteousness is only in Christ and not in how well we perform, then what is to stop a person from just doing whatever they want and calling it...
