let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches
This is directly from the risen Lord Jesus Christ to John. Hope it helps.

9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Interesting. They are not Jews, according to him. I sure remember Paul saying it doesn't matter now.

4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;

of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.

Behold, the Revelation. In part.

A Ten Dynasties Named By Islam -
A great city falls to the Ottoman Empire, the tenth dynasty of Islam. Constantinople was started by Constantine a thousand years before it fell in 1453. The Roman Empire had seven dynasties and the one started by Constantine was the fifth one. Babylon the Great has all the numbers including 666.

A Roman Empire With Seven Dynasties -
A question for AI. Just ask him. Did the Roman Empire have seven dynasties? He will say no but will then give a list of seven.
Did Newton suggest horns were dynasties? He did and they are named by Islamic Art. The Byzantine Empire, a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years, started with the seven dynasties of Rome and ended with the ten dynasties of Islam. Its capital, Constantinople was attacked by Islam in 666. There you have all the key numbers.

A Temple -
A beast in the eyes of Daniel. Babylon destroyed the first Temple. Greece desecrated the second. Rome destroyed the second. What is preventing the third? The Dome of the Rock. Enter Islam, the fourth beast of Daniel and the second beast of the Apocalypse. It has ten horns and they shall hate the whore.

A Mystery And Likely To Remain So -
A great city with many waters and merchants, It has fallen, has fallen, and can be found no more at all. The ten horns shall hate the whore. It is Constantinople. It has seven hills. New Rome. The capital of a Christian empire that lasted a thousand years. The Byzantine Empire started with the seven dynasties of the Roman Empire.

When you miss the departure of the church, and it seems you will, pay attention to what we told you.

1Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the departure comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

You must then endure to the end. When government comes to your door to give you the mark, you must say no. Losing your head is temporary. You will be resurrected if you confess the Lord Jesus Christ before them. You must do good works until then.

Pray that your flight is not on the Sabbath or in winter.

The Left Behind series (which I can at this point reliably call mostly innacurate, but still a great read!), did a good job depicting just what happens when the rapture occurs. Millions of car crashes, tens of thousands of planes falling out of the sky, and everyone, after freaking out, recognizing exactly what happened, and then many denying it.

A Prophecy Again -
A second Apocalypse that includes the seven churches and Jesus. John the Apostle ate the little book John the Baptist who bare record wrote to prepare the way. Eusebius and Victorinus are not aware of the seven churches. Their copy was written by the Baptist. Is there a third John? Chrysostom who also am your brother was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century when Jerome was finishing his Vulgate.

And then there are these people. I believe they are outside the faith.

a church history
A Historian Named Eusebius -
A martyr named Antipas not mentioned. He names six of the seven churches but never associates them with the Apocalypse. You don't have to read or search his book. Just ask AI. Does Eusebius mention Antipas in his Church History? Antipas would not be in the first version of the Apocalypse written by John the Baptist. Does Eusebius mention any martyrs from Pergamum?

A Catholic's disloyalty to the scriptures is typically left wanting but Chysostom absolutely takes the cake! I cannot understand how his Christian faith survives at all. He is effectively making up doctrine as he goes along!

His approach is not merely flawed, it is intellectually careless to the point of abject stupidity. The problem is not disagreement, but a failure to observe even the most basic standards of historical and logical reasoning.

Here is the central error...

Eusebius omits many martyrs we know from Scripture and other early sources. He focuses selectively on persecutions, bishops, and major figures, and he never claims to provide an exhaustive catalog of martyrs. Silence in Eusebius is therefore not evidence of nonexistence, nor is it evidence of a different textual tradition.

That principle is not the least bit controversial. It is literally History 101.

Chysostom's "argument" treats Eusebius’s silence as a positive denial, then builds doctrinal conclusions on top of that error. This is a textbook argument from silence, compounded by sheer speculation and presented as historical insight. This is not scholarship. It is not even careful reading, never mind anything that approaches rigorous theology.

Once that error is exposed, the whole rest of the theory just evaporates. No missing Apocalypse, no Baptist-authored Revelation, no shadowy third John, no hidden textual tradition. The entire construction depends on confusing absence of mention with absence of reality, a mistake so elementary that it would not survive a high-school level logic course.

This is why such speculative doctrines proliferate. When disciplined reasoning is abandoned, fanciful invention fills the vacuum. History becomes plastic, Scripture becomes secondary, and doctrine becomes whatever the imagination can sustain rather than what the evidence supports.

In short, if you're going to make up your doctrine out of whole clothe then you might start by learning how to think clearly so as not to make childishly simple errors of logic. Of course, if you did that then you'd never set about making up your own doctrine in the first place!
