The Conspicuous Thing That Was Missing from The 2016 Republican National Convention..

The mention of God.

It was nary to be found.

Usually it's all about God, Guns & Gays.

This time it was just Guns & Gays (this time they so-called "accepted" them though)

The GOP’s Godless Convention

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Convention was filled with the mention of God, even had preachers, choirs and singing.

How does that sit with the TOLers? Is this the direction that Republicans want to see their party take?

Good question.

I would guess that most would answer "No, but it's still better than the democrats."
That's like Paul Ryan telling the media, "Yes, Trump made racist statements, but I'm still supporting him."

Think about that. Really contemplate on what such sentiments mean, imply and/or convey.

Remember, the world is watching.

For an example, here's one of the great speeches, in this case, a sermon from the DNC...

If the Republicans were putting out such messages, they wouldn't have any problems today.

God shouldn't be mentioned by any of our candidates.. what they believe in their private lives is their business.. not ours.

Religion operates under the tolerance of the government... if a religion tries to usurp the constitution or tries to get the government to establish a religion, those politicians responsible should be tried and executed for treason.

Mentioning God would be offensive to Donald Trump and the secular humanists that he personally invited to speak at the RNC (LGBTQueer activist Peter Thiel being one of them). Besides, Donald Trump is his own 'god', so why mention the real One?

Republicans have been using God politically since Reagan to great advantage...up to now.

Where was this sentiment then? What happened?

I've always had it... Goldwater warned about it.

Certain sects of Christianity and Islam should not be tolerated in this country.

Trump is a baby Christian, just recently accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, so he's a little rusty. Trump is learning about God

What is the basis for the extremely pro life/pro traditional family Republican Party Platform?

It sure isn't secular humanist man. Why not give credit where credit is due: to God.

Barry Goldwater was a godless Libertarian. Don't look to Libertarians to promote God, as they're busy defending and legislating things that Satan embraces.

Politics does not exist to promote God. Jesus certainly stayed the heck away from saying anything political.

Aren't we commanded to model our lives after Jesus?

God has nothing to do with that.

So God has nothing to do with the moral code found in the pro life/pro traditional family Republican Party Platform?

Where did the Christians (it wasn't liberal Trump supporters who wrote it, it was Ted Cruz supporters that were responsible for it) get their basis for the platform if it wasn't from God?

Yet two of His apostles talked about the role of civil government.

As I recall from reading in Holy Scripture, Jesus's apostles learned everything from Him.
