Is sect a dirty word?
They accused Paul of being in a sect, and he did not bat an eyelash.

It is just that - a negative - in 1 Cor. 1 and again in 1 Cor. 11.
Basically, all of the churches teach false unscriptural doctrine.
I'll be kind ... and just say they have been deceived by Satan.
However, God has seen to it that the church has prevailed over the gates of Hell.
The church does continue, but in a deplorable state.
Any church which is obviously not a New Testament church
is definitely not Jesus' church.
All of that stuff about the baptism with the Holy Spirit,
the 9 spiritual power gifts, tongues, miracles,
the casting out of demons, etc. is also FOR TODAY.
Jesus said to His disciples: "Go into all the world and
do and teach the stuff that I have taught you to do!"
If you're not doin' that, are you one of His disciples?

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I've commanded you...
I can find no less than a hundred things that Jesus told his disciples to do that you cannot do today.
Actually there are twelve, Paul only named nine.
All the stuff? Does that including stuffing a turkey? Do you wish to be stuffed? Let's hope so.
