:wave: Who do you want to pm? Do you need a whole lot of space or will a sentence or two do the trick? You can get a very short private message to people by way of the rep comment, or send pages by pm.
It is possible that you will have to wait out your probationary period, but to pm someone, you right-click on their screen name and pick private message off of the menu.

Welcome to TOL. You won't be able to send PMs, post visitor messages or post in the chatbox until you have been here two weeks and have have posted 50 posts. The reason: It is measure to discourage PM box spammers. Sites like this tend to get swamped with them otherwise. Only a legit user will wait out the two weeks and make the required 50 posts.

Or, lacking three dollars or the patience or luxury of 14 days and 50 posts, if you really needed to send someone a messege without blurting it out on the forum you could find a post by that person and click on the scales in the upper right and corner of their post (if your using "TOL lightweigt") skin or the green square in the same location( if your useing "TOL High Definition") (skin is selectable in the lower left hand corner of most screens except thread reply screens in TOL Lightweight at least). And there you could "rep" the person you want to PM and it will give you a drop down to leave a "rep comment" in which you could put your PM and only they would see it provided it wasen't too long although I'm not sure if there is a "too long" for rep comments or "shouts" for that matter but lacking three dollars that won't be a problem you'll have.
Also;
You could click on the persons name and go to their profile and (I think?) leave a comment or before that try clicking on the "contact Info" tab and some people actually have contact info there like e-mails and Facebookisness and blogs and so on and so forth.

TheologyOnline has been around for nearly 15 years and therefore we get flooded daily by spam-bots, and link droppers, attempting to ride our "Google coattails" therefore we tend to shoot first, ask questions later.
If you are here to see how things are run and engage in conversation you are more than welcome at our website. We have several folks that participate regularly here at TOL that are moderators and even admins of other web forums.
If instead, you are here to stick around long enough to sneak a link or two in, you will be banned and all of your posts and threads will be deleted with a single click which will amount to a monumental waste of time (for you).
I just want to make sure you understand the rules. If we didn't treat the situation so strictly TOL (TheologyOnLine) would be nothing but a vast wasteland of :spam:
