God's Wonderful Plan of Salvation

Just as we were lost by a representative, so we are saved by a representative.

"Wherefore as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" Romans 5:12.

This means that we are sinners without works. We are born into sin, Psalm 51:5. It is not our fault that we are sinners, but its our fault if we don't accept Christ as our savior.

Jesus comes into the world as our representative to do for us that which we cannot do for ourselves. Sinners cannot save sinners, nor can sinners save themselves. If we are to be saved salvation must come to us totally and completely outside of ourselves. It has in the person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is Gods perfect man. The voice from heaven said, "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased" All that Jesus was and all that Jesus did, he did to please the Father. By his righteous sinless life he offered to God the Father a life of perfect obedience to his Holy Law. It was because he was without sin that he was able to atone for our sins and the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2.

Jesus was not only God with us, Jesus was also God for us. All that Jesus was and all that Jesus did, was for us. He is Gods great free gift for all of humanity, Ephesians 2:8. When Jesus lived, we lived in him. When Jesus died we died with him. When Jesus ascended into heaven we ascended with him. This is what Paul meant when he said to the Colossians, "For you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God" Colossians 3:3.

Our salvation is in a very safe place. It is in heaven at the right hand of God. "When Christ who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with him in glory" Colossians 3:4.

The only way that one can lose their salvation is to renounce their faith in Christ and his Gospel. There is nothing that can separatate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ.

When God accepted Jesus into heaven we were accepted in him. Our salvation is a done deal. We are "In Christ" and Christ is in heaven. Salvation is not by what we are or by what we have become. Salvation is by what Jesus is and by what he has become.
