61% if Americans support a large tax cut.

Read between the lines. When President Trump pushes through the tax cut that 61% of Americans support, guess how many Americans will vote for him? Not the illegals in California, NY and Illinois, Americans.

Technically, it was 59% for Reagan, but you get the idea. The left knows this. It is why they invented and continue to push the Russian fake news story.

When is he going to get to work on his tax cut? George W. took 5 months to get his passed in 2001; Reagan took 7 months to get his passed in 1981. Trump hasn't even had his bill introduced in Congress yet and they take the entire month of August off.

They didn't have this total obstructionism that Trump has (even from among his own party). Be patient.

Actually, the temporary Bush cuts were in 2002, and took effect in 2003. Reagan was also 83, but I will have to check his dates. Reagan's might have been pushed in 82.

The Carter economy lasted until 82. And it was abysmal. That is when the tax cuts took effect. The rates of increase in revenue when down when the Democraticly controlled Congress raised taxes on the rich. With the romp to the right in 1994, we got it going again.

That's really just hand-waving. It doesn't say a thing of substance, other than that you really don't like Carter. There are substantive changes made by Reagan that he takes blame or credit for, such as the 1981 tax cuts that correspond, not surprisingly, to a tax revenue downturn.

1983 was the local low-point in revenue. And revenue was increasing just as fast throughout most of the 20th century, and for the same reason: the economy was growing.

The laws were passed and signed in August 1981 and June 2001 with the tax cuts coming with new withholding tables in the following year. Bush also had stimulus checks sent out in 2001.

The point is that they got this agenda item handled very early in their terms. Trump hasn't even introduced a tax bill yet.

These tax cuts are aimed at the richest Americans and the biggest corporations . The so-called "61 % are truly stupid . When they voted for Trump they voted against their own interests .
Along with these massive cuts for the richest will come massive cuts in funding to help the poor, the unemployed , reductions in medicare and social security , aid for veterans,
financial help for college , etc . This is a recipe for social and economic disaster .
Contrary to what conservative pundits say , Obamacare has not been a "disaster " at all .
It's not flawless , but it has enabled millions of Americans to get the health care they need
but would never have been able to afford themselves without it .
The Republicans in Washington don't have a better alternative at all . Anything but .
In addition , Trump is planning to increase our military budget considerably, falsely claiming that under Obama, our military had shrunk and weakened greatly under him and that there is a desperate need to "rebuild it .
In fact, the military budget has been grotesquely bloated for who knows how long, and it wastes billions every year on totally unnecessary expenditures . We still have the biggest , most well equipped, advanced and powerful military on the planet .
It's your funeral, Trump supporters .

In the New Deal (which Reagan praised) a tax cut stimulated activity. Later, Bush tax cuts caused a major recession.

How could that be?

Question: What will an airplane do when you pull back on the stick?

Simplistic answer: It will go higher.

Real world answer: It depends on what the airplane is doing at that moment.

If this confuses you, it's time to learn more about economics.

Incomplete. The tax rate in 2001 and 1981 was the same as the years before. They were not in effect. 2002 for Bush. Reagan's big cut was in 1986 with the Tax Reform Act. Which was more double crossing from Tip. As a matter of fact, in 81, the top rate was still 70%.

Yes. Which is why I said the tax cuts started the following years (1982 & 2002) with new tax rate tables. My point is that these two Presidents got their tax agenda passed within months of taking office and Trump has not even introduced legislation as yet.
