Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

I simply responded to what you yourself said. Thanks for INTENTIONALLY wasting my time!

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Okay, honest question here Arial. No hidden agenda, just a straight question.... How do you deal with Ezekiel 18 (the whole chapter)?

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

"Invention by one sect" might be an overstatement but you are quite correct about original sin being false. One single reading of Ezekiel 18 puts the whole issue to bed. Incidentally, if the doctrine of original sin is false, so is the Calvinist doctrine of total depravity.

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

I haven't seen you (or anyone) do it yet. I don't recall you making any effort to refute a word of what I've said with anything that looks like an actual argument. You're great at declaring your doctrine in opposition to what I say but that isn't what an actual argument looks like. You see...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

My apologies! I often have typos of this type in my early morning posts because of a shortage of time. It is never intentional. If that is the case, you ought to be able to refute them easily. Groups of people are predestined, individuals are not, and even groups can repent, in which case...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Then you answer the question, Arail! What is so atrocious about Poly doing precisely and only as God predestined her to say and do? If she sows a seed of doubt it is because God predestined her to do so, right? If that seed takes root and it shipwrecks B57's faith, that too was predestined, was...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

These are NOT the same gospel

Look, you can pretend like I'm an idiot or you can have a substantive discussion about an important topic. YOU CHOOSE! We aren't talking about random, anonymous people that Jesus might have been preaching this gospel too, we are talking about HIS OWN DISCIPLES! The very same disciples that He...

These are NOT the same gospel

What? How could that possibly be irrelevant? You are suggesting then that Jesus' own disciples didn't believe the gospel that He Himself was preaching! Also, I wasn't kidding when I asked for the chapter and verse where Jesus ever preached a word about His death, burial and resurrection...

These are NOT the same gospel

Chapter and verse please. Every time He mentioned it, His own disciples didn't believe Him.

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

That's your doctrine but the bible tells us explicitly that the test was for God's sake, not Abraham's. The result of the test was... Genesis 22:12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; FOR NOW I KNOW that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

That was brilliantly stated, JR! The Calvinists actually trusts God, not because He chooses to be trustworthy, but for the same reason they trust that stone idols don't rust and that water is wet. For them, love and any other relational aspect of God's character doesn't come into it. The god of...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

No, he created the Heavens, the Earth and everything that is in them in six days. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Exodus 31:17 It is a...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

It is not my burden to prove that something was NOT done, however.... God created the physical universe in six days. Time is not a physical thing, it is an idea. It's just an intellectual construct that we use to communicate information about the duration and sequence of events relative to...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

What are you talking about? Just make the argument or admit that your mouth got ahead of your brain and that you can't do it.

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

I don't entirely disagree with you but I'm also ready to clarify my intent whenever anyone asks about why I phrase it the way I do. I believe that God knows everything knowable that He wants to know and that there is nothing that can be hidden in a manner that is past His finding out. In that...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

No, you made the claim. That isn't the same thing as making an argument. Arguments have premises and conclusions which logically follow from those premises. In short, saying it doesn't make it so, Omniskeptical. Just showing up and stating as though it were a fact that if God isn't omniscient...

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

All excellent examples of passages where the Calvinist reads their doctrine into the text. None of these teach omniscience in the classical sense of the term.

The Book of Revelation: Mystery Or Profitable?

If such an argument can be made then do so. Make the argument, Omniskeptical! Fair warning: You might need to take the day off from work because it will require more than a single sentence response!

I am simply responding to what I am reading. If I am missing something then that's why I'm asking you to tell me what your point is. Okay fine but I'm pretty sure I know how to read and I quoted your exact words and specifically asked you to explain how two, seemingly incongruous ideas can fit...
