Twitter is doing all it can to move forward with the deal thinking this will prevent the company from being targeted by the SEC for filing false financial records. This is now bordering crazy world.

Musk had agreed to buy Twitter for $54.20 per share, or about $44 billion, in May, but then tried to back out of the deal after the company's value sank, along with other tech stocks and the broader market.

Twitter sued to force Musk to abide by the deal.

"We received the letter from the Musk parties which they have filed with the SEC. The intention of the Company is to close the transaction at $54.20 per share," they said.

Representatives for Musk didn't respond to requests for comment.

I don't care if Musk won or lost the haggling over the price. The only thing I care about is conservatives not getting censored on Twitter just before this upcoming midterm election.
